Holidays down-under

Krister and I continue to enjoy ourselves in Brisbane. The holidays are not the same as when we were kids, or when we were in the States, but they are jolly fun anyway. White boomers, Christmas crackers, minced pies, custard, and summery picnics with friends...

Christmas morning on Convivia; Lego mania!

Merry Christmas Britannia; our new fiberglass propane tank!

This is likely to be the last post for a while as we won't be traveling through exotic destinations anytime soon. Our cruising kitty needs replenishment so we're taking a break while we decide where to go and what to do next. Thank you to all who followed us through the blog across the Pacific.

Wishing you all happy adventures!

  2. Hey!

I've been following your blog for a while since you're' a "younger couple" that've done the JUMP! Thanks for chronicling your adventure so well. You've been an inspiration. We sailed down from San Francisco in Jan 2012, spent a year in the Sea of Cortez and are planning on crossing the Pacific this March/April. How hard was it to find a mooring ball in Brisbane?

    1. Thanks, Anne-Marie. We checked out your blog too, and it looks like you guys are doing it just right!

Moorings in Brisbane come and go, but the anchorage is reasonable, and waiting isn't bad. We'll be in Brisbane when you arrive, so email us and we'll see what we can do to help you guys out :)

    2. Hey Guys,

We're in Viani Bay, Fiji and just finished some awesome snorkelling
with Jack as our tour guide. We're sailing to Australia soon and had a
few questions regarding the check-in/boat importation process. Could
we email you a few questions? You can reach me at
      annemarievfox@gmail.com

      Thanks a lot in advance,
